I've always loved the eye color of my 5 year old. He must get it from further up the line because my eyes are dark brown and his dad's are brown. It took a few different tries to get this as once he knows the camera is out he gets his own ideas for what to do ;-) Sometimes I go with it and other times I try to catch what I can of what I had in mind! :)

I wanted to work on capturing motion in manual and the primary photo is my favorite from what I got doing that. I wish you'd been able to see more detail on the horse :-/ He turned out pretty dark, and unfortunately I ended up cutting his back legs off, but otherwise I like his position and the result :) The other two were photos I took after my lesson and played with in Picasa. I have always liked these little clay pots at my in-laws. This picture isn't quite as crisp as I'd hoped but otherwise I rather like how it turned out. :)
It's another iPhone day, but at least I got a pic! :-/ I've always loved this horse planter at my employer's home, and unfortunately I really don't think the combination of low light and my phone did it justice! The coloring on this is just beautiful, so I might have to do a redo with my new lens at a later date, that or see if tweaking it with PSE 12 is more helpful once that gets here (I'm just a little excited for those new toys!).
My brother and sister-in-law have this collection of keepsakes on a corner ledge. I really liked the result from applying a sepia filter when editing because it made it feel more nostalgic to me. :)
My little guy playing with blocks, his name spelled out in the foreground :)
Sidenote, this file was originally about 5x the size and Weebly said I couldn't go over 10MB per photo. So I tried to resize it but ended up shrinking it a lot smaller than intended :-/ Maybe later I'll retweak the original and put a bigger/better quality one on here. Washing the sippy cup, bottle stuff, baby spoons (that's the little pop of yellow under the suds), etc.
I'm so not ready for snow, and winter, and holidays, but I guess that time of year is here. I do love the way undisturbed snow looks, and I thought the lines/pattern created by the spaces in the deck planks looked neat. So today was crazy busy, I felt like I was running from one thing to the next, and I really didn't have time to pull out my Nikon and get some good shots (even though I had plans for the snow!). So yes this is another iPhone photo. I was rushing to work, running over 10 minutes late, the roads were icy, and I was a bit cranky because I'm already over winter! Oh and in keeping with my stressful day, I was out of wiper fluid, so had streaks across the windshield. That kind of worked out though because I liked how it spread the lights to kind of mirror the reflection off the road. So yeah, here's.... something. :)
