It's probably fairly apparent by now that I've fallen off the Project 365 boat :(  I've been meaning to come and leave a message here for quite some time, I apologize for just disappearing! Life went and got a bit overwhelming for me. I still have about 3 weeks worth of pictures since my last post to go back and edit and get put up here, but once I got that far behind I started missing days here and there, and that's probably turned into at least two or three weeks now :(  I feel really bad that I haven't kept up with the commenting on other's photos as well. I really enjoyed seeing the talent and creativity in the other projects, you inspired me and helped me learn so much! I'm kicking myself for not having kept up with this but will say that those first 100+ days were very helpful to me and my photography! I hope to resume at a later time but don't know when that will be, I've just got too much going on right now and something had to go :( I'm so sorry ladies, but please know that I really appreciated your work, and also the comments and encouragement you offered me here! I wish you all the very best and hope to come back and check out your updates from time to time :) Take care!

Icicles on some branches outside our home, and some icy snow on our deck below that that reminds me of ocean waves.  I would absolutely love to trade this winter cold for a beach about now. >.<

My original plan was to get a good orange and blue themed photo in honor of the Superbowl, but it didn't really happen.  Dekker is at least wearing the proper colors in this picture, but otherwise he is just really wound up playing with Daddy and climbing on the sofa. I'd intended to take a better photo later, but come evening it was this poor little guy's turn for the stomach bug and I was cleaning... something... up and giving him a bath instead. :-/

And now it's my turn. Thankfully I got to skip the vomiting portion but my belly is not happy and I've spent most the day on the sofa feeling pretty crummy :-/

My poor kiddo ended up with a GI virus for his b-day :( He threw up late last night and again early this morning, so he ended up missing a fun day at school and the cupcakes I was going to bring to his class.  I think the only pics I took today were with my iPhone.  Other than my cropping his toes I liked this photo of my sweet now-six-year-old :)

Cyrus got to play video games with Daddy this evening.  His birthday is tomorrow, so hard to believe it's already been this long!

I think I had read Courtney's article about experimenting with different perspectives this day, so I decided to try a couple different angles with my photos.  As you can probably see here, my littlest loves playing with the dishwasher.  He's trying to close the door in the first photo, playing with the dish rack in the second, and he's removed the silverware holder in the third (I found some small toys stuffed into it before I put it back ^.^).  He's just so much fun, I love this little guy! :-D

I was low on inspiration so snapped a pic of some leaves coming off a houseplant.  If nothing else I like the pop of green in the photo.

I pass an old abandoned homestead with a barn, silo, and various outbuildings on a regular basis as I go to and from my son's school.  A beautiful gentle snow was falling today and I just had to stop for a few quick photos! At the time I was experimenting more with my camera settings to see how it effected the resulting snow in the photo than paying attention to the composition of my photos.  I wish I'd framed this barn a little differently but still like the result.  As old as it is I thought it also looked good in sepia and in black and white, and since I wasn't sure which I preferred most, I decided to post all three!

iPhone close-up of some marbles, because I realized just before bed that I hadn't taken my picture yet, and I didn't want to go back downstairs to get my camera! ^.^  They were a little dusty, and you can probably see my hand holding my phone, but at least I took a pic! ;-)
